Receiving Volux™ usually takes about fifteen minutes, making it an excellent “lunchtime procedure.” This dermal filler contains a local anesthetic called lidocaine that makes each injection less noticeable than the one before. The number of injections depends on how much Volux™ is needed to achieve your desired jaw shape. Volux™ can be injected under the skin or deeper under the tissues, depending on your jaw shape and the results you want to see. 

Volux™ has no downtime, and you can return to work or other activities immediately. As with other dermal fillers, some people experience minor bruising, swelling, or soreness in the area for a day or two. The lack of downtime makes Volux™ an appealing alternative to more invasive jaw-enhancing procedures.

Since hyaluronic acid is a natural hydrating agent in the skin, your body does not react to Volux™. Volux™ cannot tighten skin, so if you have loose, drooping skin in the jowl area, you may be a better candidate for a skin-tightening procedure.
