As we age, wrinkles and sagging skin can lead to a tired expression that makes us feel and look older. A brow lift is one method to reduce signs of aging and regain a bright, youthful face.

What is a Brow Lift (Forehead Lift)?

A brow lift, also known as a forehead lift, is a surgery to reduce wrinkles and excess skin around the forehead for lifted eyebrows and a younger appearance.

Age inevitably weakens the skin and muscles in our faces, causing wrinkles and sagging. Brow lifts address this by lifting and tightening the brow and forehead area. Dr. Schalit has extensive practice using brow lifts and similar procedures to restore your smooth complexion and youthful expression.

How Much Does a Brow Lift Cost?

Depending on your needs, there are multiple brow lift techniques, and Dr. Schalit may perform brow lifts in combination with other procedures to improve the whole face. The average brow lift costs approximately $3,900. This price depends on your geographic location, provider, and method.

What Results Will I See With a Brow Lift?

A brow lift can dramatically reduce signs of aging and give you a brighter, younger appearance. You can expect a smoother forehead, lifted and corrected eyebrows, and even an improved field of vision. The results are immediately visible after your procedure, but you’ll see the best results after the swelling dissipates in a few weeks.

Brow Lift Procedure and Recovery

Dr. Schalit will perform the brow lift under general anesthesia. He will use one of three methods depending on your needs.

In a hairline brow lift procedure, Dr. Schalit will make an incision along your hairline and remove a small amount of scalp. He may also use an extended version of a hairline brow lift, called a coronal brow lift, and make an incision from ear to ear.

Finally, in an endoscopic brow lift, he will make several incisions behind the hairline. This is the most common procedure and has a faster recovery time.

After the surgery, you will receive specific instructions about bandages, cold compresses, and medications. Sutures are removed a week after the procedure, and most people return to work in 10-14 days. You can expect some swelling, tenderness, and bruising for a couple of weeks after a brow lift.
