Your chin is an important part of your face. So, if you don’t like the way it looks, chin augmentation can be a good option. It can resolve a weak or undefined chin and restore an attractive facial contour. If you’re intrigued by chin augmentation and wondering how much it may cost, you’ve come to the right place.
Chin Augmentation Pricing
According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the average cost of chin augmentation is $2,364. Since every chin augmentation is different, the details of your specific procedure will dictate the exact price.
It’s important to note that chin augmentation is considered a cosmetic procedure, not a medical necessity. Therefore, insurance will not cover it and you’ll be responsible for the out-of-pocket expense. The good news is that Dr. Schalit will be happy to work with you to design a payment plan you can comfortably afford.

How Chin Augmentation Works
Chin augmentation uses implants to improve the appearance of the chin. Essentially, its goal is to reduce or increase the length and projection of your chin. Since implants come in a number of shapes, sizes, and materials, your procedure will be customized to meet your unique aesthetic goals.
It’s an outpatient procedure that can be performed with general anesthesia or local anesthesia with sedation in an hour or less. During a chin augmentation, Dr. Schalit will make an incision underneath your chin or inside of your mouth.
Then, he’ll place the chin implant around your chin bone. The procedure will end when he closes your incision with sutures. While you’ll have to take it easy for several weeks after chin augmentation, you’ll be able to return to work and your other duties within a week.
Good Candidates for Chin Augmentation
If you are self-conscious about the way your chin looks, chin augmentation may be a great option. Dr. Schalit will likely recommend it if your chin does not complement your other facial features or you lack a well-defined jawline. You should avoid this procedure if you’re living with immunity or cardiac issues.
So impressed with Dr. Schalit’s ability to cater to his patient’s needs and bedside manners! He is so relatable and I could not have picked a better Dr.! Thank you Dr. Schalit!
