How much a neck lift costs depends on your circumstances, the complexity of the procedure you require, and whether you undergo it in combination with other therapies and treatments. The neck lift price is the sum of the surgeon’s fees, hospital costs, anesthetic costs, medical tests, and any additional materials you use, such as post-operative garments.

About Neck Lift Surgery

A neck lift is a surgical procedure designed to improve the appearance of the neck. It both tightens the skin and helps to reduce common complaints, including “turkey neck.”

Following a neck lift, you should notice a smoother and more defined neckline, with less banding and excess fat.

Purpose

The purpose of neck lift – also called platysmaplasty – is to improve the neckline and provide more differentiation between patients’ faces and the rest of their body. The procedure can improve neck banding and reduce fullness below the lower jaw.

Procedure

The type of neck lift Dr. Schalit performs varies according to the patient. Some patients require neck lifts in isolation, while others have them performed alongside regular facelifts.

The procedure starts with making an incision in the skin, providing access to neck muscles, fat, and other soft tissue underneath. Dr. Schalit removes excess tissue and then lifts the neck muscles into their new position before suturing the skin together again.

Recovery

Following the procedure, your neck may feel tight, and there may be some bruising. We recommend you use cold compresses on the area to reduce swelling and inflammation.

After a week or so, Dr. Schalit will remove any sutures. And, within one to two weeks, you should be able to resume your normal daily activities.

Please note, you should only return to intense, heavy exercise three to four weeks after surgery.

Average Cost of a Neck Lift

The cost of a neck lift isn’t fixed and depends on a host of factors related to your case. While official statistics chronicle average prices, they may not necessarily reflect your situation and the fees you ultimately pay.

Neck lift costs bundle together various individual fees encompassing preparation, surgery, and recovery. These could include the surgeon’s fee, the anesthetic cost, clinical costs, and medical tests performed before the surgery. You may also need to pay for post-operative care materials, such as ointments and cold compresses, post-surgery garments, and any prescription medications you receive following the intervention.

Am I a Candidate for a Neck Lift?

If you have sagging skin, a double-chin, or banding on your neck, then you may be a good candidate for a neck lift. Those undergoing facelifts may also want to consider the procedure to get more comprehensive and dramatic results.

Ideal candidates for a neck lift do not smoke, do not have medical conditions that impair healing, and have realistic expectations for what surgery can achieve.

“Wonderful dental implants.. nice browlift – rotten horrible neck lift – he blames my age and refuses to do it correctly. i have just seen 2 board cert.PLASTIC surgeons who both say independently the exact procedure which needs to be done and should have been done in the first place. Doc also gave me voluma in my cheeks when I only approved voluma under my eyes which had been done previously. He tried to lie his way out. I am having to spent almost $8,000 ( least expensive) to not only correct his mess up but to look like I did BEFORE he left me with lumps on my neck” *
