Exercise and dieting may only help you achieve limited results in shaping your body. In recent years, noninvasive treatments such as CoolSculpting® and CoolTone® piqued the interest of the cosmetic community to eliminate unwanted fat cells and tone your muscles.

What is CoolSculpting®?

CoolSculpting® is an FDA-cleared body contouring treatment by Allergan. The technology focuses on fat reduction by freezing and breaking down stubborn fat cells. CoolSclupting® targets fat cells on the thighs, abdomen, flanks, bra fat, back fat, under the chin, buttocks, and upper arms.
Dr. Schalit’s office uses CoolSculpting® Elite, an improved version of the original CoolSculpting® technology that treats up to 18% more surface area, treating twice the fat in half the time. Each treatment area takes 35-45 minutes with little to no downtime.

What is CoolTone®?

CoolTone® is a body sculpting treatment that is also produced by Allergan. Rather than targeting fat, CoolTone® uses Active Magnetic Pulse™ (AMP™) to tone and build muscle. CoolTone® targets muscles in the abdomen, buttocks, and thighs.

The magnetic pulses stimulate muscle contractions to strengthen muscle fibers. Each treatment area takes approximately 30 minutes with no downtime. While you may see results as early as three months, most people need 4-12 treatments to see their ideal results.

Can I Do Both CoolSculpting® and CoolTone® at the Same Time?

Yes, you can do CoolSculpting® and CoolTone® as part of one treatment plan. Both are FDA-cleared, noninvasive treatments to help you enhance the results of your healthy lifestyle and exercise routines. Fat reduction with CoolSculpting® is typically done before performing muscle toning with CoolTone® to combine the benefits.

Am I a Good Candidate for CoolSculpting® and CoolTone®?

Men and women near or at their ideal body weight are typically good candidates for both CoolSculpting® and CoolTone® treatments. Combining treatments may be ideal for you if you want to improve your contours.

CoolSclupting® and CoolTone® are not weight-loss solutions. A healthy lifestyle and exercise are necessary to achieve your ideal body.

If you are intolerant to the cold due to a disease or genetics, you may not be a good candidate for CoolSculpting®. If you suffer from Grave’s disease, an active bleeding disorder, a seizure disorder, or have specific implanted devices, you may not be a good candidate for CoolTone®.

To know if you are a good candidate for CoolSculpting® and CoolTone® treatments, please schedule a consultation with Dr. Schalit to discuss your body goals.
